Marci Kennedy
Instructor
Piano • Worship Leadership
Marci Kennedy is a Piano and Worship Leadership Instructor with Abiding Worship. She loves helping students grow in musical confidence while also learning how their creativity can become an expression of worship.
Marci came to know Jesus at age eight and grew up in a family that helped nurture her walk with the Lord. Through both difficult and joyful seasons, she has seen God’s unfailing love and developed a deep passion for worship through music. One of her great joys is helping students experience the freedom and joy that come from abiding in God’s presence.
Marci is actively involved in worship ministry at The Summit Church and also leads a foster and adoptive ministry that supports and resources families. She brings extensive experience working with children, both professionally and personally, and is a mom to six children as well as an open foster parent.
Marci studied piano from first grade through twelfth grade and began helping teach students while still in high school. She began leading worship from keys as a student and has continued serving in worship ministry for many years, including with a traveling worship band during college and through regular worship ministry at The Summit Church.
Students in Marci’s lessons can expect a safe, encouraging, Christ-honoring environment where they are challenged to grow in skill while also developing a deeper passion for worship. She especially loves watching a concept “click” for a student and seeing them take joy in what they are learning.
