Kim Scott

Voice Instructor

Kim Scott is a Voice Instructor with Abiding Worship. She brings a rich background in vocal music, children’s ministry, worship ministry, theatre, dance, and performance, along with a deep desire to see artists flourish in both craft and faith.

Kim was drawn to the Lord from a young age and baptized at age eleven. As a young adult, she came to a deeper understanding of the grace of Jesus and the work of the Holy Spirit in her life. She is grateful for the Father’s pursuit of her and for the fellowship of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Kim serves on staff in children’s ministry at The Summit Church and is also involved in worship, prayer, and small group ministries. Her heart for students is shaped by many years of ministry, family life, and artistic experience.

Kim holds a Bachelor of Music Education in Vocal/Choral Music from Harding University. Her professional background includes work with Arkansas Repertory Theatre, Murry’s Dinner Playhouse, Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre, ASO Christmas productions, voice overs, jingles, film, television, commercials, choreography, worship dance, and dance training. She was also part of New Creation Vocal Group, including albums and touring.

Kim’s teaching style is relational and responsive to each student. She enjoys helping students grow in vocal technique while also helping them recognize the joy of offering what they have been given to the Lord. She especially loves watching artists flourish in their craft while giving honor to God.

Fun Fact
Kim once took Tae Kwon Do from Master Roy Kurban, who fought Chuck Norris in a world championship karate competition.
